김미정 박사 프로파일
김미정 박사는 BBL Learning 대표로 “배움을 통해 더 나은 삶을 만들어가기”를 미션으로 연구와 실천을 이어오고 있습니다. 한양대에서 교육공학 학사, 석사를 하고, 미국 플로리다 주립대학에서 교수체제(Instructional Systems)로 박사학위를 취득하였습니다.
성과창출 기업교육, 평생교육, 학습자 중심 교수설계, 청소년 라이프리더십, 지역사회 리더십 등의 전문 분야에서 활동하며, 액션러닝 기반 교육 프로그램 개발, 교육 컨설팅, 워크숍 및 강의, 연구·저술 프로젝트를 수행하고 있습니다.
김미정 박사는 과거 30여 년 동안 기업현장에서의 성과지향 HRD(Human Resources Development) 노력이 직원들의 역량개발과 현장에서의 실질적인 변화, 즉 조직의 성과창출로 이어질 수 있는 워크플레이스 러닝에 힘써왔습니다. 행사성 교육으로 끝나는 것이 아닌 현장의 변화를 이끄는 교육을 설계하는 것이 김미정 박사의 강점이라고 할 수 있습니다.
한편, 국제협력 경험(도미니카 공화국 코이카 봉사단원)과 민간 기업교육 경험을 기반으로 개발도상국 농촌지역 리더 대상으로, 지역사회 평생학습 프로그램인 BBL(Building a Better Life) Community Leadership을 2013년부터 지금까지 온두라스에 적용하여 의미있는 성과들을 목격해오고 있습니다.
이 BBL Community Leadership 프로그램은 “살며(living), 배우며(learning), 이끌며(leading), 함께 성장하는(growing together)” 방식으로 개발도상국 농촌 리더들이 교육을 통해서 더 나은 삶을 만들어가기 위한 노력을 조직화하고 실행나갈 수 있도록 교육과 현장개선 활동을 할 수 있도록 설계되어 있습니다.

개발도상국 지역사회 리더십 개발 활동을 통한 삶의 변화 스토리는 젊은 세대의 청소년 리더십으로 확대하여 Youth Life Leadership Program(YLLP)을 설계하여 동남아시아와 라틴아메리카에 적용하고 있습니다.
이러한 국제 프로젝트들은 “배움과 삶이 연결되는 실제 경험”을 기반으로, 개인과 공동체의 지속 가능한 변화를 만들어가는 BBL Learning의 핵심 가치를 보여줍니다.

Founder Profile — Dr. Mijeong Kim
Dr. Mijeong Kim, the founder and CEO of BBL Learning, has dedicated her work to the mission of “building a better life through learning.” She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Educational Technology from Hanyang University and completed her Ph.D. in Instructional Systems at Florida State University in the United States.
Her professional expertise spans corporate performance-focused training, lifelong learning, learner-centered instructional design, youth life leadership, and community leadership development. She develops action-learning–based programs, provides educational consulting, facilitates workshops and lectures, and leads research and writing projects.
For more than 30 years, Dr. Kim has focused on workplace learning that connects corporate HRD efforts to real capability development, practical behavioral change, and ultimately organizational performance. Her strength lies in designing learning experiences that go beyond one-time events and drive real changes in the field.
Building on her international cooperation experience (KOICA volunteer in the Dominican Republic) and extensive corporate training background, she has applied the BBL (Building a Better Life) Community Leadership program to rural leaders in developing countries—especially in Honduras—since 2013, witnessing meaningful and lasting outcomes.
The BBL Community Leadership program is designed to help rural leaders “live, learn, lead, and grow together,” enabling them to organize and implement actions that improve the quality of life in their communities through learning and on-site improvement activities.
Centered in Honduras, the program has been adapted to fit diverse contexts and expanded horizontally: civil servant capacity building in El Salvador, rural human resource development across eight Southeast Asian countries including the Philippines, and similar initiatives. Stories of transformation from community leadership projects in developing regions have also expanded into youth development. Dr. Kim designed the Youth Life Leadership Program (YLLP), which has been applied across Southeast Asia and Latin America.
These international projects embody BBL Learning’s core value—creating sustainable change for individuals and communities through “learning experiences that are deeply connected to real life.”
Perfil de la Fundadora — Dra. Mijeong Kim
La Dra. Mijeong Kim, fundadora y directora de BBL Learning, ha dedicado su trabajo a la misión de “construir una vida mejor a través del aprendizaje”. Obtuvo su licenciatura y maestría en Tecnología Educativa en la Universidad de Hanyang y completó su doctorado en Sistemas Instruccionales en la Universidad Estatal de Florida, Estados Unidos.
Su experiencia profesional abarca la formación corporativa orientada a resultados, el aprendizaje a lo largo de la vida, el diseño instruccional centrado en el aprendiz, el liderazgo juvenil y el liderazgo comunitario. Desarrolla programas basados en aprendizaje en acción, ofrece consultorías educativas, facilita talleres y conferencias, y dirige proyectos de investigación y escritura.
Durante más de 30 años, la Dra. Kim se ha dedicado al aprendizaje en el lugar de trabajo, conectando los esfuerzos de desarrollo del talento humano con el fortalecimiento real de capacidades, cambios de comportamiento en el campo y, en última instancia, con la mejora del desempeño organizacional. Su fortaleza es diseñar experiencias educativas que trascienden las capacitaciones puntuales y generan cambios verdaderos en la práctica.
A partir de su experiencia en cooperación internacional (voluntaria de KOICA en la República Dominicana) y su trayectoria en formación corporativa, ha aplicado el programa BBL (Building a Better Life) Community Leadership a líderes rurales de países en desarrollo—especialmente en Honduras—desde 2013, siendo testigo de resultados significativos y sostenibles.
El programa BBL Community Leadership está diseñado para ayudar a los líderes rurales a “vivir, aprender, liderar y crecer juntos”, permitiéndoles organizar y ejecutar acciones que mejoren la calidad de vida de sus comunidades mediante el aprendizaje y actividades de mejoramiento en terreno.
Con Honduras como centro, el programa se ha adaptado a diversos contextos y se ha expandido horizontalmente: fortalecimiento de capacidades de funcionarios públicos en El Salvador, desarrollo de recursos humanos rurales en ocho países del Sudeste Asiático, incluyendo Filipinas, entre otros. It is often said that “learning gives us the ability to wage war against ignorance and poverty.” We hold a vision: a world where every person reaches their full potential, preserves their dignity, and lives a better life. And we believe that such a future is possible through learning. This is the mission of BBL — building a better life through learning.
BBL Learning’s programs are field-based learning journeys where people learn and grow together in real-life contexts. We confront the essential questions of life and pursue genuine growth through inner transformation and practical action. Across diverse regions of the world, we have continued to design sustainable and meaningful learning programs, realizing learning practices that transcend borders.
We believe that life-changing learning must be grounded in both philosophy and professional expertise. Therefore, every BBL Learning program is built on these principles:
Starting from life’s questions: We identify learning themes from the real issues faced by individuals, organizations, and communities.
Action learning for practical change: Through cycles of learning, applying, and reflecting, participants create meaningful change in their lives.
Cross-border learning practice: Beginning in Honduras, our work has expanded to the Philippines, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Pakistan, Nigeria, Peru, El Salvador, and more—exploring the possibilities of learning across cultures and contexts.
Collaboration between experts and field practitioners: With expertise in instructional design, leadership development, learning coaching, mentoring, organizational development, and community development, we co-design programs with partners on the ground.

Through BBL programs, participants learn to identify the issues that diminish the quality of life in their communities and develop the capacity to address them. El aprendizaje es de suma importancia porque nos da la capacidad de tomar decisiones, distinguir entre el bien y el mal y elegir mejores caminos en la vida. BBL Learning ofrece oportunidades de aprendizaje práctico para líderes, jóvenes y docentes que desean construir una vida mejor dentro de sus comunidades.
Se dice que “el aprendizaje nos otorga la capacidad de librar la guerra contra la ignorancia y la pobreza”.
